Company Incorporated – Film and Video Productions

Props to Tara for leaving the link to the site in her AIM profile.

The site hosts a collection of videos they produced, 2 of which include Travels and its sequel Travels 2 which are both decently good short films. Both feature Binghamton University in them, so that’s immediately a plus in my book. Also, they’re both interesting and deep and stuff, so I recommend watching them on that basis, too.

Speed Demos

This site hosts video captures of video games being completed in speeds that will make you shit your pants.

Super Mario 64 in 19:47… that’s 19 minutes and 47 seconds, mind you. The player only gets 16 stars, which if you’ve played SMB64, you know you need at least 70 stars to beat it normally. Well, there are ways around that shown in the video. Yes, some people may call this “cheating”, but I call it “taking advantage of the game conditions and lack of comprehensive QA testing and reaping the benefits of not having a life looking for these shortcuts.” For comparison, the 70-star record is 1:01:32.

Mason Raige

I know this guy personally, and he’s tall and beefy, and he’s also the shiz-nit.

I *believe* he’s signed a contract with either Ohio Valley Wrestling or World Wrestling Entertainment and will be starting in OVW after he completes his current independent obligations.

Check out the web site above to see Mason Raige in all his awesomeness.

Jimmy for Senate

It’s a hell of a website. Jimmy says “Buckle up! It’s gonna be a wild ride!”

Jimmy works with me at my place of employment. He’s a hell of a guy, hence this plug. He ran for state senate in 2004, but he was running against a 32-year incumbant, so that’s like running against Strom Thurmond. He might be running again, so hopefully he’ll have better luck.

Note: this is still a personal blog, not a political one.

postsecret.blogspot.com

This site features anonymous confessions which have been snail mailed to the site owner. The rules are that whatever you are confessing must be true, and that you haven’t told anyone about it before. Some of the confessions are quite moving.

One that I’m particularly fond of is this one (to pre-emptivly answer a question, no, I’m not the author of the confession; I just happen to identify with it more than the others.)

Click to enlarge. Image mirrored to my server to quicken load time. Also, images do not stay up there forever.

I encourage everyone to check it out. You’ll be surprised at what you see.
