House

It was fantastical, as always.

Did the little girl in that episode look like Dakota Fanning? If not, it’s a striking resemblence.

House: “I know you’re in there. I can here you caring.”

Wilson: “Being miserable doesn’t make you better [than everyone else], House. It just makes you miserable.”

Wilson rolling joints in his office was highly unexpected and awesome.

Cameron passed her HIV test, and she didn’t even have to study.

And Stacy’s husband is a badass. You know a man’s desperate to save his marriage when his legs are useless and struggles to chase a man up a flight of stairs. “You’re an idiot. You just tacked on 3 months to your rehab.”

I love this show.

Sports Night Musing

I’m watching Sports Night (specifically, Episode 38: Celebrities)…

Jeremy Goodwin meets a porn star in a bar while constructing a dodecahedron out of olives and toothpicks. WTF is that?

Hot girls don’t talk to guys that make dodecahedrons out of coctail olives and toothpicks at the bar.

I meet hot girls at parties, but that’s mostly thanks to my good looks and mysteriously blue eyes. Girls love my blue eyes.

Jeremy is a dork who got a porn star to like-like him. That’s MESSED UP.

“Daria” (1997)

Best. MTV Cartoon. Ever.

Honestly. Daria is one of the wittiest, smartest cartoons out there, which is surprising considering it was on MTV of all networks (which is known for its very superficial programming) as well as being a spinoff of the very unintelligent (albeit very funny) Beavis and Butthead series.

Now, I want to see the entire series be released on DVD. But, MTV hasn’t released it, nor are there any plans to (currently). I hope to change that. So, I searched the ‘net and found some useful info…

Here’s what I’m doing (or have done). Hopefully other fans of the show will do this as well.

1) Sign the online petition.

2) Write (on physical paper, not email. Believe me… even if you could, I couldn’t find an appropriate email address to send an email to) to MTV and request them to release the DVD. Info on writing to MTV can be seen here.

3) Probably the best way to show you support Daria being made into a DVD is to buy the ones currently available! Right now, the only 2 Daria DVDs available are the 2 90-minute specials “Is it Fall Yet?” and “Is it College Yet?”. I’ll be buything them within the week.

Again, Daria is a great series. Don’t get put off by the fact that the main character is female. This is NOT a chick series… well… the first season isn’t anyway… I can’t speak for the others, since I haven’t seen them in a long time. But if the first season is any indication, the other seasons are genius. That is all.
